Does anyone have a proven winners container garden? What amount of sunlight and water

does it need? My mother got one for Mother's day. It is very droopy. It has only been three days. It has purple flowers and white flowers, I don't know what types. It has been watered every day. It has been getting about an hour of direct sunlight and some lots of shade. We live in massachussets. We gave it fertilizer once, on the first day.

PLEASE HELP!
