does anyone have a Nokia 6600 slide that has had a problem with its outside...

...buttons not working? I bought one of these from new and all of a sudden it becomes a $300 paper weight because the outer function buttons stopped working - albeit intermittently.

Apparently for some 'phones this can be solved by updating the software - which I've done about a half dozen times, but that hasn't worked for me. However, if I plug my Nokia into my computer via a USB cable and turn it on then maybe 1 time out of dozen or 1 time in two dozen it turns on as normal and I can use it; the rest of the time it's useless because the keys won't work - so I can't even answer calls or make them.

Nokia (US & UK) have told me to get lost and want me to pay to have it 'repaired' - their last message telling me to go to Nokia (Malaysia). I'm considering filing suit because this is clearly a hidden defect and what I bought was not fit for the purpose for which it was sold, and am wondering if it might be a class action suit if there are another couple of dozen people like me with the same problem?

I am a Brit living in Chicago and using a British model Nokia 6600 slide on T-mobile service.

would love to hear from any similar Nokia users either in the USA, UK, or elsewhere - or any lawyers in the USA who might be able to advise on this/like to pursue it.
