Does anyone flash people's phones remotely?

Hi,

Just last week I flashed somebody's Treo 700w remotely, over the phone, and now I'm thinking that I shouldn't have, after seeing this:

It's not that I'm into keeping it a secret. I flash people's phones in front of them. If they show interest in what I'm doing, I think that's sort of cool. I'll even direct them to howardforums, which most already know of. This person lives in SLC, UT and I know there is at least 1 person (one of the best) that can do internet/mms on a flashed treo there, so they could have chosen to go that route, but instead, chose to have it done remotely over the phone.

I would not freely give a customer a copy of every program and data file I just used to flash their phone. This would be called a flash kit, which many people sale online, and I'm pretty sure it's not included for free when you get your personal phone flashed. When I remotely flashed this person's Treo over the phone, that is exactly what they got.

I call shade.... What do you guys think?

I haver walked people through flashing phones on the phone, online through IM, and over a desktop link where i control their computer for them (though i only do the last one for my dealers upstate). I always make sure the people are far away from me so no problems with compitition. I just charge em my normal fee and help them online or on the phone. But there is always that risk that some *** will steal all your info/tips/tricks/secrets and turn around and burn you and your prices so he gets all the business. Its sucks, and its also why so many people here are secretive about alot.

Actually I flash phones remotely hahaha... There is no need for them to have the software on there computer.... All they need is the right drivers for the phone and i do everything off my laptop..

How do you flash a Treo remotely. They still need a cable. Whats the point? Once they buy a cable, they could do it themselves. Its not hard, anyone with half a brain could operate QPST and BitPim.

Well the OP mentioned doing a Treo.

I have thought about it, but I don't like people watching what I am doing. I have quite a few Tech Savy people come get flashed, and I never allow them to watch. They can learn on their own just as I did.

i do remote access too with no problems..........

what i do is that i change names of the softwares before i install them on their computer and completely delete them after i flash their phone.

after that they try to look for the software i used on the net........ but since i changed the name, they will never find it :hehehe:

you guys really do it the hard way installing software on their computer heres a hint EMULATE THE COMPORT ON YOUR COMPUTER simple
NO NEED TO INSTALL ANY SOFTWARE ON THERE PC
