Hi,
I've been having what i'm told is anxiety disorder for about 6 months now.
I've had blood tests and an ekg and all came back normal. I had anxiety issues about 10 years ago and now I guess it's back. My dr. prescribed Klonopin daily and xanax as needed. I haven't felt normal in months. I always worry that there's something wrong with me like brain tumor, heart disease, etc.
Anyway does anyone experience a "foggy" feeling in the head. I feel like I can't concentrate or see straight because I have a dizzy feeling or like a distant feeling in my head.
I'm not sure if the Klonopin is helping me or making my head feel worse.

Help!
Stacey

Yes, isn't it such a wonderful feeling, the brain fog. I am hoping that the fog disappears, some days it seems to be gone. While other days it comes back again....Wonder if fog lights would help? ;)

I've had some anxiety problems in the past and was put on Lexapro for awhile. I've been off of Lexapro now for about 5 years and I'm trying to do everything in my power to stop this fog. The brain fog stresses me out and causes anxiety and negative feelings and negative thoughts since I spend time concentrating on why I can't function properly instead of enjoying everyday life.

My girlfriend tells me to stop worrying about this and I hate bringing it up to my family so a lot of times I just fake through situations even though I truely feel my mind is in slow motion. Some things that concern me is reading an article and not understanding what I just read or listening to a casual conversation and not absorbing the details or remerabering what was just said.

I'm not sure exactly what you are feeling but some things to consider that have been helping me are exercising at least 1-2 hours in a day, yoga, drinking plenty of water, taking B Vitamins, fish oil, and concetrating on a healthy diet with fresh fruits and vegetables. However, I always feel it come and go and I'm on a constant search to find out the main problem. I've considered sending out a hair analysis test to see if there is any sort toxins or chemical irabalancement that might be causing this.

It is good to know there are other people feeling the same way so that gives me some sort of hope.

It is "comforting" to know that others are feeling the same way. When I try to explain how I feel to my frienRAB that don't have anxiety issues they look at me as if i'm a lunatic!
The foggy feeling in my head has been really bad this week and sometimes I wonder if the Klonopin is adding to it. I also have a "nurab" feeling in my head too.

Thanks for your repsonse.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I had that feeling about 10 years ago and thought that I'll never feel normal again. I felt foggy and distant, like I wasn't part of the rest of the world. It was creepy and scary. For me it was caused by a lot of anxiety and on top of everything I had a surgery and I just couldn't cope with it all.You will get back to normal, but it may take time. For me it took a few months to feel like I am back in reality.
