does anyone else prefer bank fishing compared to boat, in lakes?

i'm trying to see if there is any interest in a group i set up..........2 years ago.........and forgot about..........

but i am wondering if anyone else knows of any groups or sites devoted to fishing from shore for freshwater in general.
