Does Anyone Else Have Problems With GERD & Medicines

I have had GERD for 4 years and whilst Nexium has been really good, although not as long lasting anymore, for me if I have to take other medications like anti depressants, calcium channel blockers or anti arrhythmias I get shocking GERD. I've never found anyone else like me. I have Atrial Fibrillation as well and can't handle any of the medications to help my problem. Feeling somewhat alone at present.
 
I'm feeling alone at present too so I can relate to you there, my problem with the meRAB are nothing works for me at all, Ive tried Nexium, Losec and Zoton and I'm eating gaviscon like its goin out of fashion, I'm feeling very depressed at the moment, had very bad episode at the weekend.
 
Yes I know what you mean. I started Prozac today to deal with my depression, unfortunately it upsets my GERD. I also have major arryhthmia problems and can't take the medications. Have you tried Nexium? It can take a few weeks to kick in but it has been the only one that has worked for me. Unfortunately lately it doesn't last or just takes the edge off. This Gerd is a nasty business and no-one understanRAB it they just think it's a bit of indegestion. I don't know about you but when it's really bad I can't even talk to people which is not me. I think it has peaks and troughs too. I think sometimes it's just better than others then it settles again then flairs up again. I'm sure we are not alone there are others out there it just feels like you're alone at times.
