Does anyone believe in customer service these days?

I've noticed a trend when I do happen to hit the drive thru at a fast food restaurant. Sometimes but not all the time the person taking your order seems to be preoccupied with something else and lets you know by the tone of their voice you are just an annoyance. If you list everything you want all at once they will inevitably mess up your order but if you give them time to get each item correct they try to rush you along and are very rude. Take last night for example: I go to Wendy's because I had a late night craving. Before I get there I decide I want a jr bacon cheese burger and a broccoli and cheese potato. My wife wants a chicken nugget meal with a side salad and bottled water and we were going to split a frosty. I place my order in a kind polite fashion one item at a time so to get it right. After each item the girl would say is that all? I'm like no mam and then give her my next item. After I ordered the Chicken nuggets with a side salad the girl actually snapped at me "NINE TWENTY THREE DRIVE TO THE WINDOW" I wasn't done! What the hell? I wanted a frosty! I wanted a bottled water! I know I was ordering a couple items at a time but if I hadn't I would have had to repeat myself 2 or 3 times just to have it come out wrong. Long story short I left the drive thru and went over to McD's where it was much much better. This little experience and others like it will have me going to the local McDonald's which is the only place in town to get good service.

Anyone else see the decline in service and just overall kindness in the world?

Ok it was the middle of the night there was no person in front of me. I wasn't taaaaakkkkkiiinnnngggg mmmmyyyy tiiiiiiiimmmme. I was giving the girl time to get it all. Like 2 items at a time. I didn't say I was talking slowly jack ass. I'd like to see you try to smack me. Good example of the attitude I was talking about.

People just tend to be lazy and don't want to work. They just want to be there and get some money. You should have told her off like "listen, sometimes people have to do work, live with it" and drove off. I absolutely hate lazy people who think they should still get the same compensation as everyone else.

I know what you mean, it seems to be everywhere.
I work retail and we go by give the customer what they want and disrespect is not acceptable.

Absolutely! I just moved from the east coast to Las Vegas and my husband and I could not believe how much friendlier people are here than back east. Back East, they wouldn't give you the time of day!
Out here, these kids can't do enough for you at the drive thru window.
I would call Wendy's corp. number and tell them about your experience. I have worked in restaurants for seven years and when we gave bad service, we found out about it! Call and complain. These brats have gotten by with this behavior in the work place long enough!
