Are you familiar with this guy and his crazy teaching? He says basically the end of the world and the return of Jesus Christ will be in 2011. This is a very damaging thing to teach because it may cause people to do some outrageous things because they figure the world will end in about 2 years anyway.
So let me get this straight, even though Jesus himself couldn't answer this question when asked, and even though it states in more than one place in the bible no one knows exactly except god himself, somehow this old man Harold Camping knows? LOL yeah i hear ya LOL
I don't know him and would not judge anyone cause lord knows I don't ever wanna be judged, but I think any sane person can see why this type of teaching can and probably is destroying peoples lives.
It's amazing to me what some people think. I was reading a blog online just now about Harold Camping and various people were responding to it. Some believe Camping, some didn't. What struck me was one persons comment that quote "I don't know if I'm saved." Now think about that for a second. The bible teaches that belief in Jesus is the only way, not by works. Jesus said I am the only way. The one who comes to me I will NEVER cast out. I'm a sinner like everyone else. But I don't have to be unsure of my salvation because I believe and Jesus says that's all you need. He's not a liar. I think satan gets in peoples heads sometimes and makes them doubt. I used to doubt as well. Learning not to. Thinking maybe I should start telling this to more people. Any thoughts?
