Does anybody know what is up with those spam poems? How are they made and why?

Like this kind of thing: http://www.ralphmag.org/CN/spam-poems.html I am so incredibly curious about them and just can't figure it out. I figured it was some kind of bot that trolls blogs and puts them together, probably to get past filters, but some of it just doesn't make sense. How do they make these?
