Does anybody know of any Astronomy books?

I'm 18 and still in high school and love ANYTHING that has to do with the Universe. I'm going into the military so I won't be able to take college courses on these for another 8 years. I know a lot of the basics on star formations, galaxy formations, accretion (planets, planetary objects), asteroids, and comets, but I would like to know even more. I want to be able to have a logical conversation with people on the matter and not be shot down with topics I have little knowledge on.

Topics I am most interested in are Extra terrestrial life (an actual scientific book not some scifi book for entertainment), Big bang, deeper into the formation of galaxies, stars lifespan, basic laws of the universe, centripetal force (basically solar systems).

I could go on forever but I'll save you the text.

Any suggestions would be amazing. I know I could look this up on my own but I'd rather hear from people who read the books themselves and recommend them.
