I've got a term paper in which I have to compare how a character is depicted between 3 different fine arts, such as poetry, orchestra, opera, theater, sculpture, paintings, and novels. I think I want to do Beowulf, I can write about the epic poem it is written and the novel Grendel, but I need a third option. I figure a painting or sculpture of Beowulf must have been done at some point but I can't find anything of the sort online. If you know any off the top of your head that would be great. Please list the artist and name of the work if you know it. Or even other suggestions for different characters would be great if you can name three fine arts they are depicted in.
Does anybody know any well known paintings or sculptures depicting Beowulf?
