And you are welcome,

By the way, everyone is different and everyone reacts differently with different medications. GL

At all about Celexa?

I have read so much bad stuff about it and now I am going to be prescribed this.

Please anything would be great...........

Most people who end up posting online has negative effects which is why they post. I have been on Celexa a bit over a year. It helped me SOOO much!!! I did not gain weight. Only thing I noticed was I had to take it in the morning (because I didnt sleep if I took it at night) and also I had a few yawning 'attacks'. Strange, but not even something I considered a problem.

Now I am weaning myself off of it because I feel much better and started taking magnesium (I want to take something natural), and I have read horror stories about coming off. It has been almost 2 weeks of halfing my dose to 10mg and again...I have been FINE! The first 3 days I felt sligtly weird, a little dizzy, but nothing I couldnt handle....and now I feel totally normal again. Going to go another week or so and then stop taking it.

Everyone is so different.

Another reason I am quitting is due to migraines. I can't take the neccassary meRAB for migraines while taking Celexa, they are not good together.

PS I take Citalopram (the generic)

Good Luck!!!! I'm so glad I tried it. It really helped me

Did they have problems with weight issues like gain on it?

And THANK YOU FOR YOUR RESPONSE.

I never had weight gain issues while I was using it. I tried it two times, the first time it worked fine. The second time it made me feel like I was crawling out of my skin, had to stop using it.

OK, what about hair loss?

Anyone have a problem with that on Celexa? I did some with lexapro, but hope I do not with Celexa?

Anyone have that side effect, and I know everyone is different.......and thank you all for your responces.

I will only be on 10mgs, and see how that starts out.

God Bless,

And thank you for the positive side. You are correct......I will be starting it soon at 10mgs, my dr say's take before bed.......

Thank you soooooooo much.

Hi dear,
You will always hear bad things about different medicines. I have a very sensitive system, and I was prescribed Celexa by my doctor who has a list in his head of meRAB he won't prescribe to anyone because of the side effects. It's usually well tolerated. I didn't have a problem, you will need to give it 6 weeks to fully enter your system, maybe noticing some tiredness while your body is adjusting. Everyone's chemistry is different, it's a good medicine, didn't work as well for me (Zoloft always does) but it might be just what you need, give it about 6 weeks.

it really shouldn't be a problem, Celexa and Lexapro are very similar medicines, so you would probably respond similarly as you did to lexapro and maybe even better :) Never had a prob myself
