I go to stony brook university in ny. It's really a terrible university. I understand that it is a public university and the campus is really huge, but do they have to make your life more difficult than it has to be at every single turn? If I have one question, I literally have to go through at least 4 departments. The campus is the worst place i have every seen, and I never knew a place could make somebody depressed until I came here in the fall of 2009. The weather, the goose sh*t all over the campus, honestly everything. I am a commuter, and I have to travel at least 40 minutes to get to the campus ( this is an almost half commuter school). On top of that, since the parking lot is far, I have to take a bus to the main campus. This parking lot is free. The one that you have to pay for that is on campus, I put myself on the waitlist five months ago. I am on spot number 194 out of 574 and the spring semester is going to start in three weeks. Professors could NOT care less about you. I've honestly started to have an anxiety disorder because of this school a few months ago. Worst part: I can't transfer schools. Don't ask me why because that's a long story. I'm stuck here for atleast another three years because this school is so short on classes. Believe me I am not a complainer, and this is what the school has done to me. Tell me any words of advice.
