I am rebuilding the2.7L engine in a Chrysler Concorde that failed due to the chain tensioner bracket failing resulting in a loss of valve timing on the engine. What I am wondering is there an aftermarket chain tensioner for this engine that is a little bit more heavy duty and less likely to fail. Note that I am not worried about the chain; the chain itself is heavy enough for application. What I would like to find though is an improved tensioner system wihere the brackets will not fail.
ONE FINAL COMMENT: Do not post an answer to this question where you "rant and rave" about the quality of the Chrysler 2.7L engine. If you want to rant and rave about this engine do it someplace else as you are not answering the question I am asking.
