Does any one know this WW2 film?

I don't know the year but used to like watching it back in the late 80s or 90s.

All I know is it was about a boy and a girl living in London back in world war two.

And their house and road gets boomed.
I tired looking on Google for WW2 kiRAB films but not finding much.
 
It's definitely Hope & Glory, part-financed by 'Film On Four' and shown a few times by C4 in the very late 80s - early 90's period. OP do you remember a scene where all the kiRAB go to school one morning to discover it's been ahem, 'renovated' overnight into just a smouldering shell, and all running riot in jubilation at getting the day off?
 
Thanks I remember the name now will have to watch it again some time.
Surprised how quick I found out the name by posting here.
Like I said that is the only thing I remember so will have to get the DVD.
