Im all for new programming but i use to watch tv often but then i got a new DVD player and only watched DVD's for about 3/4 of a year and it really is a incredible break not to see commercials. And when you come back to TV its like getting back into school after half a year has already passed, you have no idea whats going on. Anyway i switched to History Channel and now it seems they got a lot of programming which is designed around something modern and will attract new audiences and get more viewers. And then they try to inject some history into it. Namely im looking at Monster Quest and GangLand. Now both of these i have to admit are interesting and people who i never would guess would know the channel for History Channel know about these shows.
There are others that arent really about history but i cant think of them at the moment. Does anyone else get this impression that History channel is selling out?
Also the Travel Channel has similar issue it looks like. But i mean how can you blame them theres not much you can do with that i mean you have to travel to some place and see a culture or eat with a culture.
Anyways let me know what you all think. Thanks!
