i just don't see the point in appreciating a poem by analyzing it, especially if the poem is all about romantic love, like i care about romantic love because romantic love is stupid. I DREAD IT. My advisory grade regarding this course is F and i truly "suck" in interpreting a poem. all of my quizzes are F because our teacher isn't contented in my answers. he even told me to answer confidently yet that's how i see the poem, so what does he really want from me?
anyone? do you think Introduction to Poetry subject should be banned in all colleges. come on we're not in highschool n, we should be learning the REAL thing now, not STUPID SUBJECTS that won't have an impact on our lives.
anyone care to agree? it's okay to disagree. i'm open to opposing views.
sorry for being rude.
britishshorthair,
haha i don't really have a problem with math, actually i like it! i guess people have different tastes and education should be there to DEVELOP our strengths and preferences, not as well-rounded (i have to say "over-well rounded, because being well-rounded is a good thing too) individuals.
the problem is, when i would get an F in this course, i would totally fail my freshman year. i don't want to transfer to another college just because i failed one stupid subject.
and in the first place, i'm trying my best but it just results into something even worse. in other words, i dont get the pay-off after exerting some little effort.
what i really want is to understand the subject but i just couldn't understand poetry and i don't see the point in studying it.
anyway, thanks for your advised. it did helped feel better.
