Does an iPhone get damaged if u leave it in the heat?

Hi I have a iPhone 4 I went shopping one day and left the iPhone in the car, it was a fairly hot day and the sun was shining hard when I came bak the iPhone was really hot I am worried that it could of gotten damaged is it covered by the warranty and would any thing in the iPhone melt even the glue?? The temperature was around 23 degrees Celsius
