Does an iPhone 4 3 year contract for Telus, good or bad?

I am looking towards buying a iPhone 4 in Canada with Telus, should I get a 3 year contract because I will always stay with Telus so it would be 159.00 instead of 659.00. Should I get the contract or no. And another question, if anyone has iPhone 4 with telus what is the service fee a month??
