Does Accutane stop growth? Is there scientific evidence supporting this? I scanned the iPledge booklet but it doesn't say 'stunting growth' as an side-effect so I'm thinking not but I just want to make sure.

I have read med papers written by accutane researchers which claim that the drug does alter the way we grow-wether or not this is proof is another matter!
they believe that accutane damages receptors in the brain preventing hormones binding to them.
It does make you wonder-a drug this effective must do something pretty drastic to your body to succeed where everthing else fails.
Whats really scary is that the company which produces this drug was listed as the biggest corporate frauRABter of the nighties and has been tried and convicted of bribery, financial and medical fraud. Most interesting is a $500 million fine for defrauding the FBI!!. You can read about it in Multinational Monitor, July/August 1999 or use a search engine.
As far as the medical papers go there written in a pretty complex way but you get the general idea and stunted growth is one of the less concerning side effects they have discovered, if you want i will send them to you i dont think im allowed to post links here.
