Does a will written under US law has any effect in China?

My grandma wants to give her house to my mom, but since she's blind she needs someone else to take care of preparing her will. My mom wants to draft the will and send it to China to have my grandmother sign it. Will that work? I asked my sister who's a lawyer but she isn't sure herself
The house is in China by the way
