Does a wage garnishment affect your credit score and report negatively?

My wages are being garnished for an old credit card account. I've been researching trying to figure out exactly how it will affect me. I've saw so many different answers, its confusing. The general understanding that I'm getting is that it will hurt my credit score and report. However, the garnishment has been going on for a while now and it's close to being paid off. I've saw that if should have already been posted to my account as the garnishment was in place. As mentioned, the garnishment is now close to being paid off and the judgment still hasn't been posted as a public record. I don't know if the judgment will post after its been paid or what. Like I said, what I've been seeing is that when the garnishment is in place, it is posted on your credit report. I would greatly appreciate the answer to this question, and much more information on the subject. Thanks in advance.
Yes, I'm sure I looked at all 3. When I started trying to fix my credit almost a year ago, I started with a credit score in the low 500's. It's now 630. My credit score hasn't dropped since I started working on it. What are the odds of the judgment not being reported?
