Does a faster or better internet connection give you an advantage when playing...

...Playstation 3 games online? I always play Call of Duty 4 online but there are some days when I just get annihilated. I usually play Hardcore Team Deathmatch and a lot of times on my screen it seems like the people are shooting me even before they see me. There are no enemy UAV's online, I am not shooting or making noise but people seem to be able to kill me even though I am shooting directly at them when I see them. Then I decided to check out regular Team Deathmatch to see the Kill Cam. A lot of the times it seemed like I was shooting directly at them but when I watch the Kill Cam it shows that I was shooting the total opposite way. Is this what happens when your internet connection is slow or bad?
 
Yes it is called a *LAG* and it is when your internet connection is poor or your not close enough or have bad weather. You can stop this by rebooting your internet settings.
 
Yup. Its what you call "LAG". Your internet is just not fast enough. I suggest you get an upgrade. Your internet speed is behind, so you're the one moving in slow-mo and everyone is just doing their normal thing.

Upgrade your modem or contact your internet service provider if you want better on-line gaming experience
