Doctor has not disclosed anything related to medical records, just the patients payment history, lack of payment or default on payment arrangements.
James, I read your link to wikipedia but in there it states:
While the FDCPA generally only applies to third party debt collectors--not internal collectors for an "original creditor" -- some states, such as California, have similar state consumer protection laws which mirror the FDCPA, and regulate original creditors.
It would appear the doctor is the original creditor making the FDCPA laws unapplicable. Am i interpreting this wrong?
