Does 8700c or 8700g work on Rogers?

If I want to pick up a BB off ebay, to avoid 3yr plan extension with rogers, what's the process? Can I just get one and pop in my SIM?

You need to have the device unlock and then you'll be able to use it with any GSM provider

I have an unlocked 8700g that is from TMO originally running off of Rogers in Toronto... Pop in your SIM and good to go.
