I'm just wondering about the new passed law in California. Same sex marriages. People who go there to get married and return to their home state. Are they recognized as married in their state. How does this work?
Usually each state has their own state laws, and most of the time the states do not share or recognize the states law.
But all states must follow Federal Laws, even if the state law says something is OK, the Federal Law over rules it
so, if 2 perverts have a civil union but call it a marriage and go back to Utah, Utah won't recognize it.
And legally the people must be citizens / residents of that state.
