i own a dodge stratus sedan 2000, i installed an alarm system with remote start. im good with car electronics so it took me like an hour (im not a pro) to install the alarm without the remote start because i don't know if my car needs a bypass module?? i don't see no anti theft light at the dashboard nor the key has a chip. the key that i use is just like a normal key. do i need a bypass module? if yes, which one? thanks in advance
well yeah i have 2 keys, one has a black plastic and the other one doesn't have plastic (all metal) both keys work.

The 2000 Stratus should have a transponder. If your Key has a plastic cover on it, it is likely to have a transponder under that plastic. And a quick web search seems to verify that it indeed does. You will have to install a bypass.
