I have a 97 stratus that burnt up on me in august and the 2.4L motor is shot. Its been sitting by my house since august because Ive been wanting to junk it but the junk rate has been way down. Anyways, i recently got an offer from a passerby of $150 to take it off my hands by a gentlemen that was solely interested in the transmission to use in his Chrysler Cirrus. $150 to me for the whole car didn't sound appealing, but im not that knowledgeable about automobiles, although i do know i would get less than that by junking it. Should i take this guys offer and just get rid of it? Should I talk him up a little bit? Should i part with the tranny ONLY for 150 and keep the gutted car in hopes that junking will go up or just part it out?? Help Please!! I told this guy i would call him tomorrow. Also: Im not that desperate for the $ or for the space consumed by this vehicle so do not take that into consideration.
