I am restoring a 1982 Dodge Ram with a Slant Six and automatic tranny. I love the Slant Six, its indestructible, fuel efficient, but slow. What is the specific MPG on a Slant Six? What are some things that I can add to increase the power of the Slant Six without sacrificing MPG? Also, will putting Magnaflow High-Flow Cats and straight pipes on the truck make it sound good? Will this harm or increase the MPG?
