I have a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 manual transmission and yesterday i was pulling one of my friends truck out of the ditch when my truck started making a bad burnt smell. It smelled a little like burning plastic. A couple minutes later my cab filled with a blueish smoke or possibly fog, it was had to tell because it was dark out. The smoke cleared out after a while but the smell remained, i believe the smell is coming out of the heater vents.
could this smell possibly be coming from a bad heater core or is there another explanation for this smell?
