it will not allow me to go over 3500 rpm and sometimes dies while driving the check engine light is on so i had it scanned and the code was a misfire so i changed the spark plugs and the tranny fluid is perfect so i have a inkling suspicion the transmission control module is out does that sound right and does any one have any suggestions
it will shift into all the gears i think i only gotten to around 60 mph it starts actin funny when i get to 3500 rpm the engine makes the same noise when its in park or neutral and i give it gas like the rev limiter is engaging while driving and i got the 4.7 on purpose the hemi didnt pull enough more for me to merit getting it plus it was a gas hog for the year i got and it also has distributor relays i think they are called so no wires

you got coil packs on that one,so id be checking the catalytic converter on it the noise your hearing may be the guts in the converter have came loose and be causing it to loose rpm,s, that would explain the loss of power on it,and the fact that it cant gain any more speed, good luck.

Well, your code was a misfire. There is no need to check the transmission for this problem.

Did you also change the spark plug wires? You should ALWAYS change them when you change spark plugs. If you did change them, then the coil pack is probably bad.
