Dodge Ram 1500 vs Dodge Ram 2500 Diesel?

I am about to purchase a 2007 dodge ram 1500 5.7 liter Hemi. My question is which would win in a race? A Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 liter Hemi or a dodge ram 2500 6.7 liter diesel? And I dont mean with alot of extras and mods, I mean if the 2 trucks are stock. The dodge employees say the 1500 will win in a race.
