My oil guage drops out and oil light comes on and truck starts pecking like a lifter pecking but it only does it accasionaly when i first start it up it dont do it and some times driving it will quit but say if i take it up a hill and the rpms go up it will start doing it but later will quit and go back to normal a guy-so called mechanic it told me it was my guages doin it but i just dont beleive that i was wondering if anyone else might have an idea or solution to the problem i was think either oil pump weak or the oil sending unit but i dont know
