When I try to start my car, it won't start. It's not the battery and it's not the starter. Both are good, well battery was bad, but we got a new one. When I turn the key, I hear a clicking sound (not the dead battery kind) sometimes instead of that, I hear a... clicking squeal coming from the fuse box. Mechanic connected the device that reads check engine light error code (I don't have a check engine light) and he said there was no response from the computer. This computer... what is it? He wants a $500 deposit to send it out for testing and repairs/replacement. I search on eBay for a Dodge Neon 2005 computer and it only cost about $150 to $200... What are your advices?
