dodge man pleases answer this one.i have a318 in a71 fury, new carb etc.?

ive messed with the timming a litlle ,havent touched the carb, since its new and usually is pre set. cranks good not sluggish but as i accellerate it has hezatation till it gradually gets up to speed. the timming not spark knocking and weve been working on older mopars60-70"s and this one is puzzziling.
 
are you going through allot of fuel? It sounds like it is running rich to me dumping more fuel that it can burn and almost flooding, your choke could be sticking or binding as well. make sure the butterfly is opening up smoothly it sounds like to much gas or not enough air. you could also check your muffler to see if it has a rattling sound, if it is breaking up it may be restricting air flow. Make sure a rodent hasn't built a nest in the air box too.
