when replacing the transfer case seal do i need to remove the transmission fluids also? What kind of fluid it use to refill the transfer case?

Another thing do you think it will be a good idea to change the transmission oil in filter and gasket when fixing the transfer case? I been thinking of adding a transmission cooler?
How much money do you think it will be to replace the seal on the transfer case in label?
