Dodge 1999, 1500 4x4. hesitation and backfiring,?

Truck was running well then it started to hesitate and backfire. So replaced distp. cap and rotor, and crank shaft position sensor. Still not running well. HELP I have a trip to make tommorow morning hauling a horse trailer.
 
try having the computer scanned and see if it gives any trouble codes ,a bad throttle position sensor will cause this or have ever who's scans it read the timing on it from the scanner ,if its got over 140 thousand miles on it and has never had a timing chain and gear out in it it could have jumped a tooth or two on the timing gears,or it could be a bad egr valve on it also,good luck.
