effects can I keep taking it? Prescribed Generic Adderall (D-Amphetamine Salt Combo) 20mg for ADD, so far it has done a good job at times treating my ADD, but it always takes 1.5hours or longer for me to notice it.
Anyways my biggest concern is how crazily high this stuff has been raising my heart rate.
DAY 1: Heart Rate 150BPM (Not resting, doing fast paced physical work at work) 4 hours after taking it (who knows how fast it was earlier), Felt really good, happy, energetic and sociable (Buzz from 1st time taking it is my guess). I couldn't stop grinding my teeth, not very hungry all day, really dry mouth. Cloudy Urine and strong smelling urine (gross but I'm kinda concern about my health)
DAY 2: I decided I'd start with 10mg (1/2 of my pill). My doctor told me I could break it, and the pill is made so that it can be divided in halves or forth.
1.5hrs later, no noticeable effects whatsoever, so I took (1/4 of my pill being at 15mg)
another half hour went by nothing I still felt normal, so I took 5mg being at 20mg my recommend daily dose.
About this time I notice the effects, it lasts about 40 minutes then goes away (They are IR, I'm confused)
I'm kinda frustrated but I'm hungry so I get up and eat 4 hot dogs (normal for me), and drink a Mt. Dew.
About an hour an a half later it is working again and working great I do some reading (Woo! I can actually read more than a paragraph for once!)
30 or so mins later (this is the 4th hour) I notice my heart is beating super fast again, so I check it, and it was 120 BPM (resting)
After this I have virtually no ADD, but for about 2 hours, I feel as if I have very little or no emotions... I do virtually nothing except research adderall (generic) for about 2 hours.
Now it's been about 6 hours and I start playing my Saxophone to practice for band, I got a lot accomplished, more than I have ever been able to do practicing. I practice for 3 hours.
After this I play some video games and do pretty well, but I can tell the effects of the adderall are not as strong, but still definitely there.
Now it's been 11.5 hours since I took the adderall, and I still feel the effects somewhat. My resting heart rate is still 84 bpm (normal for me is 70-75), and my heart and chest hurt, it feels like my heart has been working too hard.
Some other things to know, I drink an average of 4 cans of Vault a day (it does not effect my heart rate normally, since I'm basically immune to caffeine). I've basically been calm and sitting still for 12 hours.
AND the adderall takes forever to kick in, and sometimes it feels like it stops working, but starts up again.
PLEASE HELP ME! IF I DON'T GET AN ANSWER MY ASSUMPTION IS TO FOLLOW MY DR.'s ADVICE AND TAKE THE 20MG's EVERYDAY (FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS), I CANNOT TALK TO HIM FOR 2 DAYS WITH IT BEING THE WEEKEND.
Also right now I feel like I'm tired but not at the same time, I doubt I'll be able to sleep even if I try.
