My father recently had a stroke and is unable to walk on his own although he is getting physical therapy. He came home after 3 months in the hospital. The doctors said that he will recover. However, my mom took my father to a family doctor and he told my mom that my dad will never walk again and will only get worse from here- and that he is like an old car. He also told my mom that she will "run out of battery" soon as she is his primary caretaker? why would a doctor make such a comment to hurt my mothers feelings? was he just being mean or truthful?
Doctor was saying negative things about fathers recovery?
