I went to the doctor today and explained to him about the myoclonic abdominal spasms that I'm having from the w/d's that I'm still having and he agreed with my suggested treatment to use the magnesium and calcium and treat it as restless leg syndrome or a muscle cramp before I request a prescription. He was surprised that sometimes they can last as long as three hours. I told him that I stopped all of the other prescriptions, including the Percocets and he was very impressed with my ability to do all that on my own. (Last time he saw me I was still on the Percs). He also agreed that I know more about opiate withdrawals than he does. It'll be a few days before I get blood work back, but everything else was normal.

For my insomnia, he wants me to try setting a specific time, like 5 AM (yea- right!! - maybe 7AM) to get up everyday, exercise in the morning and try to reset my internal clock so that I get tired sooner at night. So, I'll see if that helps with the insomnia from the w/d's also.

Abdominal spasms are still occurring, but I only started taking the Mag/Cal supplements yesterday - I'll give it a week and see how it goes.

As for my "craving" or "thinking" about the Percocets - they are gone these last few days - down to zero. Only time I think about it is when I'm on the forum writing anymore and yes, they are still sitting here in front on me.

Overall, I feel great and I have to thank the wonderful, supportive people on this forum that have helped me through the bad times.

Thats GREAT Denon!

I am glad the appointment went well. I hope the supplements help with your stomach because that has got to be miserable.

I am so glad that your cravings are down to ZERO! WOOHOOOO!!!! So happy for you. Just keep doing what you are doing buddy!

Hope you and the wife are well!

Thanks!! I feel really good about it too. Even though I feel like I'm getting better each day, I know each day can change like the weather. Fortunately, the weather hardly changes here in Arizona! It is easy to predict what the weather will be tomorrow - same as today with a possible +/- 2 degree variance - you'd be right 98% of the time. So, I plan for tomorrow to be as good as today and is zero to +2 degree better! :-) But, in the meantime I continue to do about 1 hour research on opiates and withdrawals every day, so I can better understand it and help other people understand what they are up against.

Hello Denon

I have just gotta chirp in here and tell you what a phenomenal job you have done. It has been amazing watching you as you fought through withdrawals and won. I know it wasn't easy by a long shot and I think the conviction you have shown is an example for all of us.

Many blessings from above as you continue to help others. Good can be reaped even from the crummiest of circumstances and you have certainly showed us that.

Stay strong, stay well

Hugs

Thanks reach!!! I'm serious when I say I couldn't have done it w/o the help of the people here. It's a good feeling where I'm at now. I'm going to do my best to stay that way too.

Still I have to give my wife the most credit. She battled with me through the initial neck injury and severe pain and then through my 2 month detoxification. The pain still was worse than the detox, but not my much. At least I slept when I was in pain because of the meRAB. :-)

Someday, the remaining w/d's will go away and I will be able to say that it is completely over... Well, it will never be over... but, you know what I mean. Lately, my thoughts have been clean, no cravings or thinking about the drug, just getting on with my life and hoping that I don't catch the falling spells that Secrets has recently gone thru!!!
