Do you write more or read more poetry? ?

I read somewhere that people write more poetry than they read. So, do you real a lot of poetry? Any famous poets/authors?

I do read a lot of poetry. Anything from Sylvia Plath to Jewel to Robert Frost to Jim Morrison...etc... All kinds.
Some of my favorites are the ones listed above and Sonya Sones.
 
I definitely read more poetry than I write it - I actually don't write very much poetry at all, I like writing other forms of writing instead.

But I am a huge fan of Edgar Allen Poe - I think his work is brilliant. I don't have any specific favorites.
 
I write it. The only time I read it is if it's written by a close friend and I'd like to know what they are feeling.

Poetry seems to come out easily when our emotions run high and that's what I do on occasion. My most heartfelt times have spawned some great writings (good or bad)

I'm a definite reader of poetry more, writing it is difficult for me, I always end up in rhyme and i'm sick of that. I'm more of a fiction writer
 
It really depends, I think. Most adult poets seem to write more poetry than they read, but these are almost always people who read a lot of poetry when they were younger. I think it probably balances out more than most people would think, at least if you look at it in longer terms. Frankly, most people do not read enough poetry. If they did, we would probably have more poets.

I write a TON more poetry than I read. I love Emily Dickinson though. She is absolutely brilliant!
 
I love Sara Teasdale.
I think... I write more..
though I just inherited my grandmother's poetry books, and I'm reading alot of it..
but I write every night.
so it's a toss up. :)
