Do you watch more US or UK TV Overall ?

I am from Australia and in terms of culture, including TV, we are bang in the middle of the UK and US. Plenty of expats in Australia and the US infulence cannot be escaped

I love both US and UK tv shows, some of my favourite TV shows are from the UK but the 6 episode v 13/22 episode seasons means overall i would say i definitely watch more US TV.

I was wondering what the story was for those actually living in the UK. Are there enough UK shows given the very short seasons so that you do watch more UK tv than US tv ?
 
More UK TV, in fact I don't really watch any US TV. In the past I have watched a few sit coms: Rhoda, Roseanne, Cheers, FrienRAB, Will and Grace, Simpsons etc.
I haven't watched any of the new crop of police/detective shows but used to like Starsky and Hutch and Cagney and Lacey. The problem is like the sit coms US TV is very samey after a while (same script just different settings and characters.)
The last US show I watched was Nuse Jackie because someone on here was saying how different it was and I loved it, can't wait until series two.
 
I'm afraid you have no idea what US shows are like, since by your own admission you aren't up-to-date on US drama past Starsky and Hutch and Cagney & Lacey, shows that were on 30 to 35 years ago. Sure, there are still formulaic shows out there, but the US, in the last 20 years, has produced a lot that isn't that way.




Nurse Jackie is the type of show that the US makes in abundance nowadays. If you "love it" that tells me there are a whole lot of US shows available you would at least like.
