Why do you use counselling/helping skills?
What policies and legislation do you adhere to? (i.e health and safety equality and diversity etc)
Is there a cost involved for your help?
How do you get your referrals/ clients?
Do you ref err onward? how?
In what setting do you use helping/ counselling skills and how do you make the best of non traditional settings?
do you think there would be any barrier to communication, how could you work through them?
Are there any risks to the helper or client? how are they managed?
From this information I have to consider:
How would you manage the clients understanding of counselling skills/ helping and what problems could arise?
what questions the client may have?
how boundaries would be agreed and identified?
What impact the work can have on you?
How the clients cultural background could be relevant to the helping relationship?
