Do you tip wait staff in a restaurant?

Like most of you, I work very hard for my money. When I was growing up, I made min wage ($4.25 a hour). Now that I am grown up, I have a career and make over $100,000 a year. I worked very hard to get here. When I go out to restaurants, I do not tip. I am paying for a service (a meal). I believing leaving a tip is the same as making a donation. If I wanted to donate money, I would sign a check over to charity. If the wait staff doesn't like it, I think they should find another profession. Of course, when I see a 60 year old waitress who obviously is working a 10 hour+ shift, I will leave her some money. I know she is trying to make ends meet. But why would I leave $5 or $10 to a 19 year old college slut so she can run off and buy a dildo or a pack of smokes? Some times they don't even bring me my food. Someone from the back does. I think it seems silly to give someone $5 (what I made for a hour of work back in the day) or $10 (what I would make now if I was a high school kid and worked an hour) to put in an order of what I want to eat, bring me a drink, and sometimes bring me a plate of food. I can understand why in Europe people get offended when they are tipped. What are your thoughts on tipping?

I used the word dildo so yahoo thinks this question should go under relationships
haha why would I pay for you to go school? If you don't like making $3 a hour, find another job.
