History in the culture you learn has a bias its not even funny. I can't really recall that statistic right now but you should know it. Its the one about how many Americans think that the civil war began Americans were fighting for slaves.
I recently attended a high school history class and people were talking about imperialist as moral, brave beings that were bringing democracy to Africa. The idea is ludicrous that I really started to question high schoolers intelligence when no one spoke up to correct him. Then I realized, that really what the had been lead to believe.
