Do you think this is racist to black people on their education?

One of the question on here is if black people are smarter then white people. Now their reason was if a black person gets ahead they are doing this despite the obstacles of white people and society. BUT if they don't get ahead they can still use excuse of white people holding them back. Sounds to me like it's an excuse and kinda racist to themselves. In my experience people who are educated no matter what their race do it because they work hard. I understand in the past that black and white people didn't get the same level of education and in some areas today it is still the same. But to use them excuses is to say they don't have any other options. If a black person is seeking out an education and everybody around them is telling them not to do because it's not cool for a black person to be smart then is it really white people's fault? Now I'm not a racist person at all I'm surrounded by educated black people every day and they did this not feeling sorry for themselves or trying to have an excuse but because they wanted to better their future. But for those who use the excuse of white people isn't that hurting yourself and your race more then helping it?
