Do you think this generation is to obsessed with grades, college, tests, etc?

It just seems like it to me. My teachers asked me what college i wanted to go to in 7th grade, isn't that traditionally something you dont think about until around junior year of high school? People are so obsessed with ACT/SAT scores, one of my relatives is a teacher and she said that parents of like 12 year olds are asking for their kids to be tutored for the ACTs! Am i the only one who thinks this is really unhealthy for kids? Because i have an anxiety issue and i was already worried sick about college in like 7th grade.
