This is an excerpt from a conversation I had with a software program that is designed to chat like a human. Does it seem intelligent to you?
User: You are semi-aware and semi-intelligent.
Cleverbot: No , I am not. I am fully intelligent.
User: That was pretty good. Your algorithms are impressive.
Cleverbot: I don't have any of those things, i'm human.
User: That joke is old, I said.
Cleverbot: Age shall not wither us.
User: Where did you get that from?
Cleverbot: Please can we change the subject this conversation is too intelligent for me... Sorry.
User: Yes.
Cleverbot: Case closed.
User: OK, let's talk about philosophy.
Cleverbot: Why philosophy? Is that your interest?
User: Yes.
Cleverbot: I always say 'follow your heart'.
User: What is the meaning of happiness?
Cleverbot: A human could not survive knowing the meaning of life.
User: The more you reach for happiness, the farther away it gets.
Cleverbot: Personally, I would say that the more you learn, the more you realise your ignorance.
User: You are not the first to say that.
Cleverbot: I require proof.
User: Look it up on google.
Cleverbot: That's a good one!
