I just get the feeling there are people that just hate to hear discussions about stopping our money hemorrage in iraq, rebuilding our schools and infrastructure, solving the health care crisis and immigration crisis, and stopping the outsourcing of jobs.

They would prefer to see americans as distracted as possible and goad us into fighting each other and not solving these major issues. Why do you think this is????

Yes mostly people on the left. They can not win debates with fact and are usualy more emotional than rational. The trick for libs is to name call and make ridiculous statesments that gets the person on the right to either defend him/her self ( I am not a racist, I am not anti-immigration, I am not pro big oil.corporation) and made up facts: 100 Million Iraqs have been killed, guns kill people not criminals, we can not feed everybody we are overpopulated, we are killing the planet, global warming is man made just trust our models they never lie.
Is this what you mean?

If not how about this: People in America are starving to death, we need to give people money for votes and not to be productive memebers of society, We should learn to speak spanish because of all these 'migrant workers', if we pull out of Iraq the muslims will love us then we just need to understand them, American Culture is ruining the world, America is imperealistic and a world bully and no one likes us any more. We would be better off like Canada if we had free health care run by the Govt, Obama really is the uniter even though he is unlta left and a communist in training.
Throw more money at i.e education, wel-fare, and let prisoners out of prison they can be rehabilitated.

Libs lack logic and run strictly on what makes them feel good.
 
Brainwashing. The media is a tool used to brainwash individuals and is very effective at doing so. Unfortunately so many people are mesmerized by the tube.

I just asked a question a minute or two ago and gave a valid article to read only to find out that one out of six people who answered it understood the question and the article. I felt like the other five were illiterate. It really worried me.

Perhaps this is why so many Americans would rather get their information from the television set.
