The Honda 250 Rebel and CBR250r, Yamaha 250 V-STar, Suzuki gz and tu 250, Kawasaki Ninja 250r, are all labeled by the manufacturer as entry level bikes. Back when the speed limit was 55 mph a 250cc bike was capable of going anywhere. But, try taking a honda rebel at 70 mph. It feels like grabing hold of a hornets nest. Running at those high rpms is also not good for the longevity of the bike either. I think the new entry level size should be 400cc. It is large enough to cruise at higher speeds. But, still small enough to be easy to manuver and balance. What size do you think the new entry level class should be? And Why? and also there used to be so many street bikes to pick from between 250 and 650 why are there so few choices now?
